Party Paella Pan

I'm an idiot. I didn't know who Heidi Swanson is until I bought Super Natural Everyday last week. Now there will be constant stalking of 101 Cookbooks whenever I am procrastinating, or hungry.. So far I've cooked a handful of recipes from it and each time I open it I am amazed at how much her love for food translates so well into the book. Her diligence to variety, whole food and flavour is refreshing and I haven't found a cookbook that displays such intimacy with each recipe since buying the Moro books 7 years ago. I really appreciate when an author tells me what they feel is the heart of each recipe, what can be changed, how you can tell something is ready without having to regulate everything to a timer, why they chose particular ingredients, and how often they cook it and why.

Yesterday I made all appetizers from Swanson's book, the accompany and celebrate my new 40cm paella pan. The paella recipe is from Moro, which I doubled everything (or nearly doubled) to fit the pan, cooked on our mini barbeque.... somehow I forgot to take a photo of the goods...
